I’ve been lucky enough to travel to both the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica and I have to say, they both offer a lot to travelers. Whether you’re looking for beaches, mountains, jungle, or culture, you’ll find it in either of these countries.
The Dominican Republic is located on the eastern side of the island of Hispaniola, which it shares with Haiti. The DR is a popular tourist destination, especially for people looking for an all-inclusive resort experience. But there’s more to the country than just beaches and resorts. The DR is home to the capital city of Santo Domingo, which is full of history and culture. There are also plenty of opportunities to get off the beaten path and explore the country’s natural beauty.
Costa Rica is located on the central American mainland, between Panama and Nicaragua. Like the DR, Costa Rica is a popular tourist destination, but it’s also a popular destination for retirees and expats. Costa Rica is known for its lush, tropical rainforests and its abundance of wildlife. The country is also home to some of the best surfing in the world.
No matter what you’re looking for in a vacation, you’ll find it in either the Dominican Republic or Costa Rica. So, which one should you choose? That’s a tough question, but I think it really depends on what you’re looking for in a trip. If you want a relaxing beach vacation, the DR is probably your best bet. But if you’re looking for adventure and excitement, Costa Rica is the place to be.
