One of the most successful Dominican players of all time is Pedro Martinez. A right-handed pitcher, Martinez played for several teams during his career, including the Montreal Expos, Boston Red Sox, and New York Mets. He was a three-time Cy Young Award winner and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2015.
Another Dominican player who had a great career is Vladimir Guerrero. An outfielder, Guerrero played for the Montreal Expos, Los Angeles Angels, and Texas Rangers. He was a nine-time All-Star and won the American League MVP award in 2004.
